The men on the ship- they’re beastly heathens They’ll cut yer hand and steal your gold They smell like fish and constantly sneer They’re always fightin’ ‘bout who gets to steer But still A Pirate’s Life is my way of life I’m at home on the sea I swing from the mast – and I cry avast It’s a pirate’s life for me- Oh! A pirate’s life for me We used to have rats all over the ship They ate up our food and chewed up our lines Then the captain cooked- we were all floored! But we never had to worry ‘bout rats anymore (where’d he get that meat?) A Pirate’s Life is my way of life I’m at home on the sea I swing from the mast – and I cry avast It’s a pirate’s life for me- Oh! A pirate’s life for me Life on land – it’s easy living Comfy beds, and always well fed But I don’t want crumpets and tea Home is the ocean- a pirate’s life for me A Pirate’s Life is my way of life I’m at home on the sea I swing from the mast – and I cry avast It’s a pirate’s life for me- Oh! A Pirate’s Life is my way of life I’m at home on the sea I swing from the mast – and I cry avast It’s a pirate’s life for me- Oh! A pirate’s life for me- Oh! A pirate’s life for me

Do you ever feel like Robinson Crusoe? Alone against all the world Like nobody’s there, even when there is Do you ever feel all alone? 27 years on your isle without a ship or crew the only other people you see want to make a meal out of you Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Get to work and build your raft Grab the shark by the tail You got yourself here- you can get yourself back pack up & set sail! It’s a struggle not to spiral down When you are feeling blue If you can’t change how you feel You can change what you do Even when everything’s going wrong You’ve got a choice to make Sit around and mope all by yourself Or take life by the reins. Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Get to work and build your raft Grab the shark by the tail You got yourself here- you can get yourself back pack up & set sail! solo- Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Robinson- Robinson Crusoe Get to work and build your raft Grab the shark by the tail You got yourself here- you can get yourself back pack up & set sail! You got yourself here- you can get yourself back pack up & set sail!

Captain Seamus, the meanest pirate known throughout the seas. He’d been marauding for years and years- brought many ships to their knees. He sailed with a crew of rascals, his First Mate One-Eyed Frank The two were downright naughty. Made their own mothers walk the plank. But inside the captain’s quarters, he kept a tank of water And when to his door you pressed your ear, the captain singing you would hear. I love me seahorses, Ay, I do. I’ll always be so dear to you. To yer mates, you’re always true. Ye men hold babes like kang-e-roos. One day there was a battle ‘tween Seamus and the Pirate Peg-Leg Pete. Seamus’ crew fought them back. Pete sailed off in defeat. But his seahorses had gone missing. Seamus’ worst nightmare. “I’ll chase you to the end of time, Pete! I promise you! I swear!” Against his Mate Frank he did brace, a forlorn look upon his face. He hung his head o’er the rails and the pirate captain he did wail. I love me seahorses, Ay, I do. I’ll always be so dear to you. To yer mates, you’re always true. Ye men hold babes like kang-e-roos. Cap & Frank sailed round the world and conquered many a fleet. They found lots of gold, and treasure, but never Peg-Legged Pete. One morning Seamus heard singing and followed it to Ol’ Frank’s bunk. He found his Mate singing to his seahorses, hidden inside a trunk. “Frank- this is a sight to see. I’d never thought you’d lie to me.” “Sorry, Cap, I know I done wrong, I jes’ wanted a chance to sing yer song” I love me seahorses, Ay, I do. I’ll always be so dear to you. To yer mates, you’re always true. Ye men hold babes like kang-e-roos. Seamus he still sails around and is feared by one and all Nary a ship will answer back when they hear his pirate call He keeps his pets close to him- sings to them night and day. If you ask him about his First Mate, in a growl he will say, “Frank- twas to the brig with him. But along with me he hums. I could never make him walk the plank, I love him even more than Mum.” We love our seahorses, Ay, we do. We’ll always be so dear to you. To yer mates, you’re always true. Ye men hold babes like kang-e-roos. men hold babes like kang-e-roos. men hold babes like kang-e-roos.

about

One evening, Cap’n Rick got in a heated discussion with his best friend, Cookie, about who could sleep on the top bunk. Words escalated into action. Swords were drawn by both men, and when all the slashing was done, Cookie was missing a hand.

Cookie now has a hook where his hand used to be. Says he, “me hook comes in ‘handy’ when I be shreddin’ chicken for taco Tuesdays, but it’s a bit of a hazard when me nose itches.”

Cap’n Rick felt horribly about cutting off his life-long friend’s appendage and has since vowed to never raise his sword in anger again. He attends anger management seminars and is learning how to use his words. He’s out to let the world know that not all pirates have mean hearts. “Pirates have feelings too,” he says.

Like all of us, they just struggle sometimes with how to properly express them.
